The Harley Davidson FXD is produced since 1991.
The models in the years 1991-1998 were equipped with a evo engine, while the rest
of the models have twin cam engines.
Like the FXR, the FXD has a rubbermounted engine (Rubber is placed in front of the
engine and at the transmission) the bike has a lot fewer vibrations than the ordinary
Harley bikes. In my opinion the FXD is equipped with a better mounting than the
FXR and has even fewer vibrations than the FXR.
When this is said I think the FXR, maybe because of it's mounts, handles a lot better
than the FXD.
